Makeup Product Review- L'Oreals' Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation

Wasting much needed money, especially in today's day in age, on makeup that turns out to be worthless is a major disappointment and makeup turn off. That's why I am here! I test and review the products for you - all you have to do is decide if the product fits your needs.

Right now we are going to dig into a foundation. The foundation for today is L'Oreals' Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation. We will take a look at this foundation's packaging, texture, coverage, and application life.

NOTE: I have personally tested all makeup products I review.

Packaging: **** (4 stars of 5)

The Bare Naturale Minerals comes in a container that's about 4" tall and it fits comfortably in my grip. There is a clear, plastic, removable cap on top; pull the cap off and you will have access to the Kabuki brush that comes attached to the screw on lid. The Kabuki brush is prefect: not too tough and not too soft. The container is .35 ounces, and it is overfilled with product! The first time I opened it, foundation powder was piling out from the shifter inside. The only thing I do not like about the packaging is the Kabuki brush is attached to the main lid leading to the foundation, so the powder gets up into a crevice located on the bottom side of the lid and the product tends to fall out everywhere when you use the brush. Make sure to tap it off well.

Texture: ***** (5 stars of 5)

Bare Naturale is very light weight and you cannot feel it on your skin. The minerals don't simply sit on top of your skin, giving you a mask feel, but they actually move into your pores (but it will not clog your pores). This foundation goes on smoothly and it is very hard to see any powder residue unless you get right up to the person wearing it (you can avoid this by apply a little moisturizer before application). Make sure to tap off the Kabuki brush in a jar or something to get off the extra powder because the minerals cling to the brush and you get way more than you need.

Coverage: ***** (5 stars of 5)

The coverage of Bare Naturale is simply amazing. I have tried this in multiple areas of my body where the skin is different in tone or where I may have a blemish, and it covered them all. My face is rather even toned but I did have a little zit above my eyebrow and it covered it completely. My shoulders were sunburnt a couple years back and it caused me to get a couple little freckles, and it covered them no problem. I have a scar on the inner portion of my thigh were I was injured, and it covered it perfectly as well. Every use leaves you with an airbrushed finish.

Application Life: **** (4 stars of 5)

The application life is rather impressive, but not all day wear. This foundation lasted me about 7 hours of coverage before it began to wear off and I had to touch up. During my time wearing this foundation I was running store to store, working, and hanging out with friends, so it wasn't work that made me sweat. But I did put this foundation to the 'wetness test' and proceeded to splash water all over my face; the foundation stayed in place and did not turn streaky.

All-in-all, if you are in need of great coverage and have a small wallet - this foundation may be just for you. Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation received an overall rating of 4.5 stars (read on to find out why this product was given this rating): the bad - foundation powder gets lodged into the Kabuki brush lid and gets everywhere when you unscrew it and life isn't as long as I would like; the good - great coverage, lots of product, even texture, and very natural looking makeup.
